An episode called Beauty and the Beach had to undergo some extreme editing before it could be aired in the US because it contained scenes of James wearing giant inflatable breasts that looked a little too realistic for kids. 


 Clefairy was the main pokemon when it was on the comic book, no TV show yet. But when the TV show was created, they chose Pikachu as the main pokemon of the show because he was brighter and more identifiable by children.




Rhydon was actually the first 
Pokemon to be created even though his pokedex number is 112. He was even drawn before his pre-evolution form Rhyhorn, His index number in the game code of Generation 1 games is 001 which proves the fact.

  
Ash hasn't caught all of the Pokemon yet even though the catchphrase for Pokemon is Gotta Catch Them All. In fact, he only caught around 40 out of more than 700 Pokemon that exist.
The original concept of the creator, Satoshi Tajiri's for Pokemon was a manga called Capsule Monsters. In the manga, you can see many things familiar to Pokemon fans such as trainers, pokeballs and some early Pocket monster designs.

 All of us expected all Pokemon is evolving into ever advancing forms. But Slowbro is the only pokemon that can devolve. According to it's Pokedex entry, if you remove the Shelldex on it's tail, Slowbro will revert back into a Slowpoke.

 Pikachurin was a protein discovered by a scientist which is named after Pikachu because its characteristics with relationship to speed and electricity reminded them of the Pokemon.
